On July 16, the Huawei Qiankun Media Day was held in Shenzhen. The event unveiled the latest technological advancements of Huawei Qiankun, including the annual OTA plan for the Qiankun Intelligent Driving System (ADS 5), the future direction of autonomous driving technology, and the evolution roadmap and OTA plans for the HarmonyOS Cockpit HarmonySpace 6.

As a strategic ecosystem partner of Huawei Qiankun, Yijing Motors showcased its first flagship SUV—the Yijing X9—at the event, displaying it alongside models such as the AITO M9, Zhijie V9, and Qijing GT7. This exhibition further exemplifies Huawei’s strategic layout for the coordinated development of its dual product systems: “Jing” and “Jie.” Wang Junjun, Chairman of Yijing Motors, attended the event and delivered a keynote speech.

As the first flagship SUV jointly developed by Huawei Qiankun and Dongfeng Motor, the Yijing X9 is equipped with Huawei Qiankun’s six major intelligent solutions, including Qiankun Intelligent Driving, HarmonyOS Cockpit, Chitu Platform, In-Vehicle Lighting System, Whale Fin Communication, and the Vehicle-Cloud Platform, achieving comprehensive integration of core capabilities such as perception, interaction, control, communication, and computing power.
Based on a collaborative model of joint definition, joint development, joint operations, and joint marketing, the Yijing X9 has become one of the first mass-produced models to feature Huawei Qiankun ADS 5 and HarmonyOS Cockpit HarmonySpace 6, and serves as a key vehicle for the practical implementation of Huawei Qiankun’s full-stack intelligent technologies.

In July of this year, the Yijing X9 completed the first public nighttime extreme-condition demonstration of Huawei Qiankun ADS 5. Under various complex conditions—including strong light interference, rain and fog, complex obstacles, and map-free driving scenarios—the vehicle demonstrated stable environmental perception, decision-making, and control capabilities. Equipped with an 896-line lidar, the vehicle can detect obstacles as low as 14 centimeters and supports the Roaming Cruise Assist (RCA), enabling intelligent driving assistance in map-less scenarios.
In terms of safety, the Yijing X9 is the first model to feature the “Sky Shield” safety architecture, which is deeply integrated with Huawei Qiankun ADS 5 and the Collision Avoidance System (CAS) 5.0. This architecture provides comprehensive protection across six key areas: intelligent driving safety, active safety, passive safety, battery safety, emergency rescue safety, and health safety.

The body utilizes 2,400 MPa ultra-high-strength steel, with high-strength steel and aluminum alloy materials accounting for more than 92% of the structure. It is also equipped with a three-layer battery protection structure and a redundant emergency rescue system, further enhancing the vehicle’s overall safety performance.
Positioned as a new-generation family flagship six-seat SUV, the Yijing X9 measures over 5.3 meters in length and offers a spacious six-seat cabin. In addition to Huawei’s full-stack intelligent technology, the new vehicle is equipped with HUAWEI XSCENEcene in-car laser projection, HUAWEI XPIXEL smart projection headlights, an all-aluminum chassis, and the AMS in-cabin AI multimodal perception system, further enhancing its competitive edge in terms of intelligence, comfort, handling, and technological experience.
According to reports, mass production of the Yijing X9 is scheduled to begin in July, with an official market launch planned for the third quarter. Moving forward, Yijing Motors will continue to deepen its collaboration with Huawei Qiankun to deliver an even smarter and safer driving experience for users.
